FLORAL OIL SPOTLIGHTS
Clary Sage: Clary Sage can be a powerful tool for female emotions! This oil is a phytoestrogen, so it has estrogen-support properties that support us physically and emotionally. When our hormones are unbalanced it takes a toll on our health - both physical and emotional. Clary Sage is grounding and comforting and evokes feelings of feminine energy. It pairs well with citrus oils like Bergamot and Tangerine as well as patchouli and Lavender.
White Angelica: “The friend of those walking through many emotions, many struggles, and many pressures. The companion of those struggling to rest peacefully. A release for grief.” White Angelica essential oil blend has a sweet, warm, and floral fragrance, with a combination of 10 of Young Living's 100% pure essential oils! Apply to the wrists, over the heart, or add to the diffuser as needed when struggling with negative emotions, carrying the weight of others, and processing grief or disappointment. Excellent for children who struggle to verbalize their feelings and tend to process through nightmares.
KEY CONSTITUENTS
*Constituents are naturally occurring compounds in plants (and therefore essential oils) that give them specific health-supporting properties
- Germacrene D, Alpha-farnesene
- Citronellol, Geraniol, Nerol
- Benzyl acetate, Benzyl benzoate, Linalool, Phytol
- Linalyl acetate, Linalool
FLORAL OILS & EMOTIONS
Smell is so powerful. It can evoke memories, positive feelings, and even feelings of trauma. We can use smell to bring about good memories, and essential oils can help solidify new (more positive) ways of thinking! This is because our sense of smell is connected directly to our brain. When we inhale a specific oil, we can activate the limbic system of the brain to interact with the more cognitive/analytical parts of the brain and super-charge your ability to get out of negative thought cycles. By smelling essential oils and focusing on the way you want to feel and think, you are creating a new pathway in your brain!
Floral oils are a wonderful companion for anxiety, stress, and even grief. They are calming and soothing to the spirit, but also uplifting to the emotions. Lavender is wonderful for calming racing thoughts in the evening. Joy and Geranium are helpful in times of acute stress (a favorite for postpartum mamas!) or in times of grief. White Angelica helps to calm and soothe the nervous system in times of overwhelming emotions. Ylang ylang can help foster connections between us and others.
Reach for your floral oils when you are wanting to change thought patterns, soothe emotions, calm overwhelm, and more. No matter how you use them, they are so wonderfully helpful!
